I’m no botanist, but I avoid any appearance of poison ivy. I remember having been infected by it so badly that it reached my eyes. Some people say they’re not affected by this plant at all, that wouldn’t be me. What a horrible experience.
Some people can drink alcohol without it owning their lives. Others can apparently eat sweets without becoming obese. It doesn’t really matter what your weakness is, it’s always best to avoid any temptation that you know is dangerous for you. Sometimes this means changing the company you keep.
God does not tempt us. He provides a way of escape in every temptation. The Holy Spirit makes it very clear what we should flee from and what we should embrace. Guard your hearts. Pursue the way of intimacy with God. Confess your sins and He is faithful to forgive you and cleanse you.
Keep it clean.
