Have you ever quieted yourself and considered your heart beating or the blood running through your veins? I’ve done that and similar things like paying attention to my breathing and considering the mystery of how air is consumed by my body. There are also times when I’m playing guitar or saxophone and marvel at how my fingers move by my command to make music. All of these things fascinate me.
When we go deeper with these thoughts and realize they’ve all been put in place by the creative hand of our Father, praise and adoration are the appropriate response. (Oh yeah, and then there’s the ability to think and thank.) We’re incredible masterpieces of our loving Father. Celebrate life today and give thanks and praise to your Father who is better than you can imagine.
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.” Psalm 139:13-14 NLT
