I was cutting the grass on Friday and realized it was time to fix the grass catcher on the tractor. I went to Sears and found the part I needed but according to the sales clerk the part was not for sale because it was “with” a floor model of a tractor. He said I could order the part online. I almost walked away when I thought of asking for the manager. It seemed reasonable to me that they could sell me the part on the floor and simply order a replacement themselves. The manager didn’t have the “power” to do this because there was no UPC bar code on the part. I’m left to ordering online and being splattered with grass clippings in the meantime.
This is just one of many examples of the limitations of the world we live in. But, if we appeal to the Most High God, He can do what no mere mortal could ever do. He is the King of all kings and LORD of all Lords. We have witnessed His mighty saving power work in situations that are not natural but, supernatural. His ways are not our ways however and so, everything is done according to His will. He’s the One who knows what I need over what I want. Humble yourselves in the sight of the LORD and He will lift you up.
