I want to take you higher

There’s a hiking trail near Lake Warmaug in New Preston, CT that initially seems like any other trail. The trail climbs a hill unto you’ve reached the peak which is mostly rock. From there you’re able to see for miles and miles. The view is breath-taking. As with most things beautiful, you have to behold it yourself to appreciate it. Words fall short of describing it’s grandeur.

Our climb through life can seem mundane and often times painful. Every morning I pull myself up to catch a glimpse of the glorious. Some days are harder than others. Honest prayer elevates us to the place where we can begin to see more clearly and love more dearly. It’s there that I behold the wonder of sin forgiven. I remember just how much I’m loved and am compelled to love others.

God waits for you. He longs to be compassionate towards you. He has demonstrated His love for you in the death and resurrection of Jesus. Love Him in return.

Here’s a beautiful song that sings of His love.
