Change your mind

ImageWhen my father worked as a manager in a factory he went through some training that he shared with me. The thing I remember most from those talks is that we can re-write the scripts of our lives. It all begins with how we think life works and evaluating if what we’ve held to be true is working for us or against us. Those thought patterns that are hurting us can be displaced by new ideas as we write them down and meditate on them.

These conversations with Dad radically changed my approach to life. A desire to understand more about how our mind works was put into motion.

As I started reading the Bible a whole new world was opened up to me. I realized that I hadn’t made the LORD my lord and that the life I was leading was hurting me and others. When I made the decision to turn my will and my life over to God’s care everything changed for me. I started to have a new way of thinking.

Gods ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Yet, He makes Himself known to those who diligently seek Him. He makes all things new. He calls us out of darkness and into His marvelous light. Seek the LORD.

Psalm 1

1 Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
2 But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.
