The Bee Gees had a hit song entitled “How Deep is Your Love” that I still enjoy listening to. It’s easy to see our longing for God in the lyrics of songs that make it to the top of the charts.
The truth that really strikes home for me is how much I doubt that God loves me when I’m messing things up. It’s easy to forget that “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” when we live in a cynical world that focuses more on what is wrong than what is right.
When the love of God penetrates our heart, we’re set free from condemnation and judgement and that my friends is reason for celebration. So, take a deep breath and know that God’s love for you is so deep it’s eternal.
