Is that edible?

Sometimes I wonder how many people had to get sick or die in order to identify whether eating a part of a plant was safe. I just read that almonds need to be cooked or steamed to remove cyanide (I never knew that and have not conducted thorough research to validate this claim).

When I consider all of the intricacies of this world and my Creator I stand in awe. So much great food to eat, beautiful sights to behold and expressions of humanity to celebrate. Then when I think that He takes up residence in us as believers, I’m overwhelmed with the thought of it.

As we grow in our relationship with God, He produces in us character that demonstrates His character. To live in God’s love, know His joy, walk in His peace, experience his patience, receive His kindness, rejoice in His goodness, be comforted by His faithfulness, rest in His gentleness and acknowledge his self-control are all benefits of being His. He gives us these fruits so that others might benefit from them and that He would be glorified. Be fruitful.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
