Old and new

adventureWe’ve all had a lot of fun posting pictures of the past and reminiscing.  On the other hand, I just saw a collection of photos from a friend I only knew as a guy in Finance that shows me an entirely new artistic side to him.

While each day is new for everyone of us, some see it as an adventure and others are weary from the drudgery.  Today will be yesterday tomorrow so, I’d rather look at it as an opportunity to create something memorable.

As I approach this new day I’m struck with how much more there is to life in Jesus than I’ve been experiencing.  It’s as if I’ve lived in a sort of unbelief that He has made His home in me.

Maybe this was stirred in me by something Ibel said last night about how she couldn’t sleep on the nights of the 12th and 13th of December and felt a great heaviness as the LORD was warning her of what was going to happen.  She said she realizes that she needs to listen more closely to what the LORD is saying.  I was amazed as I had no spiritual sensitivity to what was going on at all.  She inspires me.

God calls all who believe in Him sons and daughters.  He is not a Father that is aloof or absent from the lives of His children.  He longs to have relationship with you but, will not force His way into your life.  If we are to love God, then we should understand that loving is an action we take.  There’s something new He wants to do in you and through you.  Step out in faith.

“This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NIV
