Piece of work

There was a distinct language to our side of town. If someone was a “piece of work”, it usually meant that they were unusually bent in a certain direction. The term was not flattering. I’ve been called that. 🙂

Raising five children has given us quite an appreciation for diversity. Each one of them bears some physical resemblance and at times their passions and personalities are similar. Mostly, they’re about as unique as five people could be. Each has amazing qualities that God has gifted them with for His pleasure.

You are like no one else in the universe. Only you can play the role you are assigned. There’s a phrase that is engraved on every AA coin that celebrates a phase of recovery, “To thine own self be true”. You know who you are, live that life to the fullest. Recover what’s been displaced over the years. Let Christ create a new life in you.

God is immensely creative. There is no limit to what He can do and we barely fathom what He has done. His love for you is beyond your understanding. He knows you completely and is the best Father you’ll ever know. Give Him your life.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
