John Lennon took the stage with Elton John on Thanksgiving Day 1974 at Madison Square Garden. If you were able to find a ticket stub for that event you wouldn’t see Mr. Lennon’s name advertised. I know he was there because I was there. None of us in attendance will ever forget him singing “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “Whatever Gets You Through the Night”.
In 1984 my life course was dramatically changed by an encounter with Jesus. Meeting with Him has been the most awe inspiring issue of my life. He has sustained me to this day and is my life. Meeting Him is something you’ll never forget.
God has taken drastic measures to reconcile you to Him. He will meet you where you are if you sincerely call on Him today. Jesus is more than a carpenter. He is seated at the right hand of the Father in glory. He is pouring out His Spirit upon us. Today, if you hear His voice, harden not your hearts. Be loved.
Acts 2:32-33 “God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this. Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.
