Environmentally friendly

On our last trip to California we decided pretty quickly to check of the hotel we had booked. From the moment we pulled into the parking lot we knew this wouldn’t be a restful place. So, we booked another hotel and from the moment we checked-in we were greeted with helpful and friendly faces, a beautiful room and a sense of peace and order. The folks in charge knew what it would take to make their guests comfortable.

Every Sunday morning an atmosphere is set in churches around the world. I’ve been leading the music in a number of churches for many years and have learned that it takes preparation to create an environment that is welcoming and worshipful. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to seek the LORD’s presence from the moment I wake up and draw my team into a place where they’re hungry for Him as well. Then, as we’re in a humble and grateful place in our hearts, we’re able to lead others to that oasis as well.

You can create an environment wherever you go. Many people simply exist without having a vision for their lives. Cultivate a thankful heart. Decide to be a blessing. Bring healing where there is pain.

God is for you. He wants you to know His joy and peace. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Be intentional.

Psalm 16:11 You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever
