What are you going to wear?

When we were kids, Mom would take us shopping in August for school clothes. I was excited about wearing those clothes and at one point convinced her to let me wear them to the “feast” at the San Manghese Club on West Avenue in Stamford (anyone remember the name of that event?).

Later on we made some pretty outrageous choices for what we’d wear to be fashionable. I think I still have a photo of me in bell bottoms with platform shoes and a tight silk shirt. 🙂

We wear smiles, frowns and our heart on our sleeves. God calls the people he has chosen to put on Christ. Clothing ourselves in our new nature. This is the deliberate choice we make to be merciful, kind, humble, gentle, patient and above all loving. We choose what we “wear” everyday. Be a blessing.

Colossians 3:12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
