No time like the present

When my kids were younger I would say to them, “This is the last [whatever the current date was] September 9, 2012 you’re going to see so, don’t waste it.” I heard an older man say something very much like that, “Why would I waste a perfectly good day?” If we’re going to focus on the past or the future, we should do it to strengthen ourselves today not plunge us into regret, resentment or worry.

We will hear a lot of things said to us today by audible and inaudible voices. Yet, no one thinks for us. Our thoughts are ours and we have the power to override lies meant for our destruction with truth spoken over us by God. But, you have to know what God has said and is saying.

Today is the day of salvation. If you hear His voice, don’t harden your hearts. God is good, He loves you and He’s for you. He will lead you in everlasting ways with His unfailing love. Turn your life over to Him today.

Acts 22:16 What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.
